In WLAN part 1 we will study what is WLAN, introduction about Wi-Fi networks and how it works, also we will know about radio frequencies and WLAN channels and main differences between them, also we will study what is received signal strength indicator and how it help us to decide if our network design is good enough or it need some modification, also we will know about the two frequencies 2.4 and 5 GHz ,and when to use one of the over the other ,and what is the benefits and weaknesses of each frequency ,we will also will study wave propagation ,and some parameters related to the wave like wave length , frequency and what is the relation between them, and how there changes affect the coverage area of our Wi-Fi network, We will study the Wi-Fi channels at 2.4GHz freq , and 5 GHz channels, and how to make channel planning to avoid the interference ,after this part I will introduce part 2 which will include antenna system for Wi-Fi , and types of them, also will include Wi-Fi network devices and structure ,wireless network traffic flow, link budgeting and WLAN design and optimization, hoping this part be useful for you.
