The old style of Leadership focused on very much on authority and how authority can be demonstrated.We would only need to see an impressive qualification or job title to deem somebody a leader to be followed without question.Something has changed....We are much more discerning. We demand more from leaders and refuse to follow leadership that has been thrust upon us.Instead we now want to choose who we follow. We decide who is a leader based on our own set of criteria.We want to see that a potential leader has earned the right to lead. We want to see some battle scars. Have they struggled and therefore do they understand our struggle?We reject a leader that has a superiority complex. We want a leader that is just like us.
