Hi everyone,In this course, we'll cover the essentials in a microsimulation. Modeling the network, modeling the demand, allocation, calibration, and the analysis of the results. I'm a Transportation and Logistics Engineering student at the Federal University of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil, and I'm in my final year of graduation.Also the Latin America Traffic Simulation Champion for 2022, by PTV Group, the company responsible for VISSIM software and many other in Transportation field area.I currently work for the biggest company here in Brazil in the transport sector, utilizing these tooling in socioeconomic analysis, which includes road safety, pollutant emissions, and the flow impacts in the road networks.The course brings a real study case in a roundabout, and we´ll learn from beginning to the end, how to make an intervention e how to make the analysis!Keep things clear: the course intend to be very fast demonstration that covers all the steps to run a basic simulation. From that you will have a good strategic view on how to model your problem. We will not focus on the tooling itself, but on the strategic approach, that is the most important thing.
