By teaching Egyptian Arabic for 6 years, I noticed that there are certain pairs of words that are always confusing to students. These words can be confusing just because there's just one word for it in their mother tongue, while we have two words in Egyptian Arabic (for example, we have two verbs that mean "to try" in Egyptian Arabic: two different types of "trying"). The words can be confusing as well because they sound similar. So, I decided to create this course and call it The Versus Series. I speak, almost only, Arabic in the episodes, but I have English and Arabic subtitles. You can also download the subtitles as a PDF file if you would like to also use the transcripts as written material. The PDF files also have exercises on each pair of similar words to help you master the difference between them. I recommend that you watch each episode twice, or even better, three times: once with English subtitles, once with Arabic subtitles, and once without subtitles.I hope you find them helpful. And if you have more pairs of vocabulary that always confuse you, feel free to share them with me, and I'll consider adding episodes for them.بالتّوْفِيق!احمد الخضري
