"The Journey: From Grieving to Grateful" is not simply a crossing over, getting over, or just going through; it is in the wrestle! A wrestle with something or someone, not for an external change but, for an internal blessing. A blessing, of something being poured out or something being poured in, that leads to transformation and healing. When it comes to grief, most often, the wrestle for this blessing is with and within ourself! This Class will excavate the Biblical Text, using John 20:19-25 as the foundation, to increase your knowledge and understanding of grief, healthy grieving, and strengthen your Faith in God for the Journey. Participants will gain awareness and affirmation of healthy grieving, assessment awareness of unhealthy grieving, and tools and skills to affirm, encourage and foster healthy grief engagement. When grief is not healthily processed Historical Spiritual Wounds form diminishing one capacity to be emotionally available in the present because they are spiritually bound to the past. This course is intended to increase knowledge, understanding, and excecution of healthy grieving, free one to Soul Wholeness identifying value in one's wounds enabling the embracing of the fullness of one's self, including both the blessedness and the brokenness of one's being.
