World War I was fought between the Allied Powers and the Central Powers. The main members of the Allied Powers were France, Russia, and Britain. The United States also fought on the side of the Allies after 1917.The first world war itself sowed the seeds for Second World War, primarily because of the humiliating Treaty of Versailles. We shall see the causes and consequences of the Second World War (WWII) in this video Course.This course also provides a detailed information about the United Nations and its various agencies. Special Emphasis has been made on the role of United Nations in establishing international peace and security in the world and the course also discusses about the role of it's different agencies in maintaining peace in the world. In the chapter of non aligned movement, the role of India under the leadership of Jawaharlal Nehru played a leading role in reducing cold war tension between America and Ex-Soviet Russia.
