During this second part of the complete series "The Complete F5 Bootcamp (LTM,ASM,DNS)" , we tackled the main needed configurations related to the most important features of f5 bigip DNS module.Section one is a quick introduction to DNS protocol and role of DNS module inside our network , also we have tackled the main internal functions of f5 bigip DNS module ( DNS Acceleration , Intelligent DNS & DNSSEC ).In section two , we have discussed the main technologies could be used for improving the performance of resolving of existed DNS servers in our internal environment by using three main methods:- - DNS Acceleration.- DNS Cache.- Load Balancing.In the next section , we have covered all the needed objects inside GSLB or Intelligent DNS and how to configure them on our bigip DNS module:- - Servers / Virtual Servers.- Datacenters.- Pools.- Wide IPs.Section four is an application on the load balancing methods that we can use on the intelligent DNS to make the best answer DNS response to the client like ( Round trip time , Number of hops , Topology , Least Connections , others )Finally we'll see some different topics could be used with bigip DNS module like ( DNSSEC , iRules ) and how to use both on our bigip DNS module.
