The ability to use a teleprompter is a powerful skill! You can speak on camera or do public speaking without having to memorize a script. In this course, you'll learn this exact step-by-step method to become proficient at using a teleprompter. In my first job as a TV host, I was asked to read the script on a teleprompter. I had no experience, no training, and I made lots of mistakes. There was no one to guide me, and I had to figure it out the hard way! Since then, I earned a master's degree in Broadcast Journalism, and worked many jobs where I had the chance to practice and master the teleprompter. Now I love teaching individuals like you how to master it too! I quickly learned that the teleprompter is an amazing tool, that if used properly, can make your job easier and more enjoyable. There are tons of speaking and on-camera opportunities that use a teleprompter. The beauty of the this device is that it gives you the ability to look directly into the camera lens, creating the feeling of eye contact with your audience, but your script is scrolling right in front of you. You don't have to memorize your script, because you can read the words on the glass in front of the camera, or even on your digital device. It's your job to make the words sound real and authentic. If you're not familiar with using a teleprompter, it can be difficult to adjust to. But you can do it!
