Dhananjay Mishra hails from a family of esteemed musicians. He had a keen interest in Tabla from a very early age. He started learning from his father. Tabla maestro Pt. Ishwar Lal Mishra at a very young age and later on from the late Tabla wizard Pt.Chhote Lal Mishra. Both of them were disciples of Tabla Samrat late Pt. Anoke Lal Mishra. He follows the Benares Gharana tradition.Dhananjay is a performing artist and had been teaching Tabla for the past 25 years. He also has been giving lessons online for the last 10 years. He has numerous students both within India andinternationally. His students are spread across the world in India Australia Canada USA Dubai Saudi Arabia Lebanon South Africa etc.These days. many Tabla enthusiasts are trying to learn from YouTube. Though, one can learn a bit from these videos without a Guru's guidance, proper foundation cannot be build. This course is for students who want a guidence introduction to the art of Tabla playing, With technological advancement, students can get access to traditional teachings.
