Reading is part of our human life, you can never gain detail knowledge without reading or seeking information concerning the subject matter involved, the addition of speed reading has enhance reading in a more effective and efficient way to aid comprehension and find information in a more fast and modern way. Speed reading is the process of quickly recognizing and absorbing phrases or sentences on a page all at once, rather than identifying individual words like we all do in the old ways. The concept of speed reading is done on a key specific purpose, now there are so many information available daily that we need to read and get the detail information to inform our decisions. When we currently look at the social media, books and even magazines there is much to do within a few minute, now the average reader can read almost 250 words per minute (WPM) all this is done in other to learn and get the information quickly without wasting no time. For some years back we all read and later pronounce what we have read through our mouth or in our head but this strategy impede progress and lower our desire to read faster.The individual ability to read faster and still understand it is a very great skill that need learning and practicing it. We must understand this clearly that you cannot read speedily and still get the detail information like you are reading slowly let all establish that fact first, assuming you are reading legal document its clear that you need to take your time to assimilate the information. To speed read faster and still get the understanding is a very big skill. One need to create the required environment that is conducive to learning, avoid distraction and interruption so that you can be focus and get the necessary skills and information, its always important that to read well you must know what you want from the text. Speed reading needs to be well practice and practice more before one can become master.
