This course teaches the lost art of making natural gum from a very common North Anerican tree. The Christmas tree has many uses, but the coolest and most interesting may be that it is where we originally got our chewing gum. We replaced many natural items with synthetic plastic based products in the last 100 or so years. Don't chew on plastic. Learn spruce gum facts and even how to easily make it yourself in this highly detailed visual course. This process is a unique one have adapted to simplify this project. I'll walk you through this little known foraging experience.I teach you how to identify spruce trees and distinguish them from its lookalikes, teach you what sap creates gum and which resin creates a sticky mess.
