This is an introductory course to excite the students on climate change policy. Carbon Footprint concepts and calculations are introduced to all those interested in sustainability issues and are concerned about environment and climate change. Students undergoing this course will be then gradually introduced to climate change policy through other soon to be launched courses.Students will adopt a more environment friendly lifestyle taking care of this planet Sustainable Living is about living a lifestyle with minimum carbon footprint.Such a living is possible by adopting a lifestyle like using energy efficient technologies, switching to renewables and using mass transit options wherever possible.In this course students will learn how to calculate the carbon footprint for their family.They would also learn the reduction potentia of carbon footprint by incorporating changes in life style by adopting sustainable living.Many countries are promoting climate friendly practices and industries are required to adopt those. Carbon Footprint calculations for industries and commercial enterprises is a bit more involved.The course simplifies the calculation of carbon footprint for an industry.It also highlights the reduction potential areas by quantification of emission factors and sector wise carbon footprint.Students located in developed industrialized world including from United States Europe Australia and Scandinavian countries as well as those from developing world including from China India and Middle East will learn and benefit from this course
