Radio frequency (RF) is the oscillation rate of an alternating electric current or voltage or of a magnetic, electric or electromagnetic field in the frequency range from around 20 kHz to around 300 GHz.Radio frequency engineering, or RF engineering, is the study and application of radio waves with the purpose of creating technology and devices that can both receive and send signals using these waves. RF engineering is an important component for those working in aeronautics, telecommunications, military services, commercial radio, television and space-related professions.
