This course will afford every student and participant an opportunity to know what pre-ordained names popularly referred to as "Oruko Amuotunwa" actually meant and why it is important and special in Yoruba Land. The course has been divided into sections for convenience.Firstly, we shall be talking about how traditional naming ceremony is held in Yoruba Land. We will enumerate the items needed, meaning of individual item mentioned in respect of the naming ceremony being conducted. For instance, dried cat fish is one of a must items needed in traditional naming ceremony in Yoruba Land; what's the meaning and why is it so important? This course will fully explain such.In furtherance, we shall dive in into the world of pre-ordained names i.e Oruko Amutorunwa. We shall be discussing the meaning and importance of it. Also, we shall be detailing the gender that can bear each name - be it male or female.
