Phlebotomy technicians are medical professionals who draw blood for tests, donation and other purposes. They typically work in hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, blood donor centers, and other medical facilities. Phlebotomy technicians must be comfortable drawing bloods, processing specimens, and performing other procedures. To increase the odds of passing the exam, you will need to be knowledgeable in these areas. The more prepared you are, the more confident you will be when taking the exam and while working in the field. Pass the phlebotomy exam with confidence by preparing yourself for success. Included are 100 questions covering core knowledge: Phlebotomy core knowledge, Patient Preparation, Routine Blood Collections, Special Collections, Safety and Compliance and Processing Specimens. The preparatory exam is intended to help increase your odds in passing the state phlebotomy certification exam. Some areas covered in the exam include Anatomy & Physiology, Infection Control, Legal & Ethical Responsibilities and Specimen Collection and Testing. Questions in each section will assess the knowledge, information, and concepts a phlebotomy technicians must know, as well as tasks or duties that a phlebotomy technicians must be able to perform. Knowledge areas may be found in more than one section. Core knowledge questions do not represent standalone domains on the CPT exam, however, are necessary knowledge for a phlebotomy technician.The test can be conveniently completed online at any time on any device. Your goal should be to score at least 85% on the exam. After completing the exam, be sure to review the knowledge areas, as they will help you identify sections to further review.
