In 2005 my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a shock to our family and to her as well. My mother went from working a full-time job to going on permanent disability overnight. There was no time for us to prepare for this transition and no map or guide on how to care for our mom. As the primary caregiver I had to become her advocate for her healthcare matters and business affairs, overnight our lives changed forever. Therefore, I wanted to create a course that would help families deal with the challenges of caregiving and avoid pitfalls that can hinder the caregiving process.This course is designed for caregivers who are caring for loved ones with alzheimer's/Dementia.Even though the focus is on Alzheimer's/Dementia other caregivers will find this course useful as well. In this course you will learn about resources available to caregivers,how to navigate the world of caregiving,and how to care for your loved one with care and compasson.
