OFDM is a special form of multicarrier RF transmission involving orthogonal subcarriers or tones, designed to mitigate the delay spread caused by multipath signal propagation and other forms of interference. It has been widely adopted in wireless and wireline standards, including Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, DSL, HomePlug, and more recently, cable (DOCSIS 3.1/4.0). Using 80 informative slides, this course covers the foundational principles OFDM/OFDMA and the underlying technologies of broadband systems.
