The B2 course is all about finalizing your understanding of the Norwegian language. Improve your conversational skills and enhance the technical part of the language. You will be equipped to handle all common language situations in Norway and do so confidently.Being at a B2 level in Norwegian means that you have a good vocabulary related to your own daily life, in addition to your own subject area. You can give lectures on topics related to your own daily life, but also about politics, the environment and the media. You can give instructions and messages, and understand some Norwegian dialects. You should be able to critically evaluate texts and use different learning strategies as needed. You can write texts in various genres, such as minutes, abstracts and argumentative texts.A B2 student can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.In this first part of the B2 course we will cover topics such as: Norway to day and facts about Norway.Daily life for most Norwegians.Norway a multicultural country. Schools and higher education in Norway.Work - life in Norway. What is it like? Climate and environmental challenges.Health and health related issues. The course also offers lots of exercises and tips needed to reach the B2 level. The will be some assignments which are important to complete in order to get the necessary language practice at the B2 level. In addition there will be some information about the Bergenstest and other tests at the B2 level.
