People who take this course will understand why stroke matters and will learn how to prevent a stroke for themselves or someone they know. It will also create a working knowledge of stroke types, diagnosis, mimics, prevention, and treatment which can be used for both the private individual and medical physician.Stroke is the #1 disabler and #5 cause of death in the United States. As a practicing board certified neurologist, I am the stroke director of 2 nationally certified and ranked stroke programs. I have successfully taught stroke neurology to school-grade students, the general public, medical students, nurses, EMS, residents, and physicians. All are welcome to take this course.
