In general microwave are considers as different from Electromagnetic spectrum. Since wave propagation takes place at microwave frequency has very small wave. The microwave measurement carried at different microwave range. At low frequency, the circuit theory is used to measure the signal frequency components in terms of voltage and current. But at high frequency parameters like frequency, attenuation, voltage standing wave ratio, phase, and impedance are not calculated using voltage and current. Therefore, microwave bench is used for measurement of microwave parameter. The instruments that measure the parameter at microwave frequency are network analyzer, Spectrum analyzer, power meter, etc. The cost of these devices are very high, therefore in laboratory parameters measurement can be done using microwave bench with the help of test signal. The test signal is used at microwave measurement is of 1 KHz square wave signal. This signal is modulated using source and calibrated at the end of bench connected with detector. The detector output is connected to the cathode ray oscilloscope to observe the behavior of the test signal. The Slotted section with probe carriage is used to detect these test signal at cathode ray oscilloscope or voltage standing wave ratio detector. The amplitude and phase information of the test signal are used for measurement of microwave parameter.
