The clear understanding of basic equations and relations from their physical point of view rather than only mathematics can develop a more confident and efficient engineering character. To be able to build, manufacture or test an equipment or product or structure good physical understanding has to be acquired.During years of study students run from course to course overwhelmed by assignments and requirements looking for marks to move forward to achieve their degree or certificate. However to build or manufacture an engineering structure or equipment needs clear understanding of physical phenomena upon which analysis and calculations have been deduced.The difficulty of mathematical formulae some time give importance to mathematics over physics that is really not required.Nowadays also because of life complications and technology development, the use of ready software became a must for mathematical difficulties that may be encountered. However it easily can be a source of mischief in case of lack of physical knowledge or clear understanding.A successful engineer should have enough knowledge and capability to apply in his work not only to calculate and use obtained figures which are meaningless to him.I hope to review basic knowledge with students and fresh graduates wishing them success in real life engineering products, equipment and structures they design and build or manufacture.
