Morbidity refers to the presence of a disease in a population. Epidemiologists are keen to study morbidity and how it affects the population by analyzing data and interpreting them accurately to stakeholders across private and public sectors. They compute for the frequency and burden of disease in a population by scrutinizing incidence rates and prevalence rates so that better interventions and health policies can be spurred into action. In this course, I will be introducing you to these important epidemiologic measures, where data can be collected and gathered, as well as what to look out for when validating the legitimacy of the numbers.
