This course is intended for providing detailed knowledge and practical understanding about the auditable clauses of ISO/IEC 17025-2017 standard (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories). This covers the general understanding of laboratory accreditation process and detailed explanation of all clauses of the standard. Apart from that understanding of audit process for this standard is also covered in details. Some of the hot spot activities of laboratory accreditation process are explained with additional elaborations, e.g. intermediate check, metrological traceability, method validation, measurement uncertainty, decision rule, root cause analysis, risk and opportunity assessment etc. Specific guidance is provided for preparation of system documents, such as quality manual, system procedure. The various important aspects of requirements of accreditation agency are also elaborated.
