Welcome to the course - Mastering Fractions - the Right Way.This course has been developed as a foundational program for all fourth and fifth grade students beginning their journey into the world of fractions. We highly encourage every student to enrol in this course. We assure you that by the end, students will have a solid understanding of the concept of fractions.Let me take a few minutes to explain how this course is structured.Students are directly introduced to types of fractions and operations on fractions without much focus on the fundamental concept of fractions, and the techniques of dividing a shape into equal parts. This results in a limited understanding of fractions and an inability to tackle practical problems, which in turn fosters a lack of confidence or fear of fractions among students.Keeping this in consideration, we structured the course into four distinct sections.In the first section, we cover the fundamentals of fractions, while in the second section, we focus on the techniques for dividing a shape into any specified number of equal parts.These two sections lay a solid groundwork for understanding the subsequent topics on fractions.In the third section, we examine various types of fractions and the rationale behind their names, while in the fourth section, we focus on various operations on fractions, emphasizing the underlying concepts rather than just the rules.This is a two hour course with 30+ short video lessons and 10+ quiz sections.
