One of the biggest challenges for us as married men is learning to deal with the waxes and wanes of our wives' emotions. Part of the issue is that we've never allowed ourselves to experience a wide range of emotions in our own lives. Most of us haven't been supported in our full expression so when our wives express themselves, it's hard for us to understand let alone empathize with them. Not only that, but we've been void of solid examples of men handling women's emotions in a mature way, which leaves us attempting to figure things out for ourselves.
