Welcome to Mallet Percussion for Beginners! In this course, you will learn:the basics and get you playing the instrument as soon as possible. Technique. Because the Xylophone is very physical, technique is priority.Then, you will learn history and modern info on of the instrument.To help remember how to play your favorite songs, you will learn beginner level music theory. Last but not least, I will share with you exercises that you can use on your own time and at your own pace.With all of that said, you may be wondering, is this course really for you?This course was design with you, the hobbyist or you the aspiring musician in mind. Let me breakdown in detail what that means.- If you have NO prior musical experience, you can take this course.- If you do have little experience and need a refresher, you can take this course.- If you have experience but with a different instrument, you can take this course. The music theory portion will be slightly different to you but the theory in this course is similar to piano. You won't be learning piano here, but at least you will know the theory.- If you want to learn music just for fun, this course is for you.- If you're an aspiring musician whether it be in mallet percussion or another instrument, this course is a great start for you!* If you're under 18, you can take this course under parents and guardians' supervision.So who is this course not for?- Anyone who is not interested in being here, this course is not for you. Music is about tapping into your emotional self and being interested is half the battle at any musical level.
