This course will help you to empower the children in your classroom to develop a sense of self, improve their self-esteem, improve their ability to create strong, lasting relationships and empower them to make positive choices now and into the future. This course is set up in three parts. Connecting to Self, Connecting to Others and Connecting to the Wider World around us.In part one you will learn techniques to help children build their confidence, self-esteem and build resilience in this ever changing world. They will develop a sense of connection to self through explicit lessons in Character Strengths and Optimism.Part two explores the connections we have to others. We will look at the science behind Kindness and Gratitude and how these can be taught explicitly in your classroom. Lastly, in part three of this course we will learn about the impact we can have on the wider world around us. Through Visualisation and learning about the Environment we will empower children to take control of their futures and help them to make positive choices relating to where they want to go and how they want to show up in the world.Each module will begin with an introduction video which includes an action to complete for your own self care. This is followed by course reading which you can work through at your own pace. You will then watch a video discussing how to bring the topic into your classroom and be given explicit lessons and PM masters to use in your class. Each module concludes with a day of reflection on what works within your own classroom.
