A step-by-step instructional course to guide you through the process of painting 'abstract-ly' with acrylic paints. This course is designed for anyone who would like to give abstract painting a try - whether you have painted before or not. To get the most out of this course, collect all the materials you need and paint with me while you watch so that you can apply what you are learning straight away. You can easily pause so that you can complete the steps instructed and then continue the course at your own pace.Many of the steps in this course have been super simplified to make it easy for a first-time painter to follow along, apply the techniques, and produce a beautiful piece of art. Each video/lecture in the course addresses one step in the process and every step within that, has been broken down into bite-sized parts as well. Through demonstrations and explanations, students will be able to apply what they have learnt on to their canvasses. The course teaches a variety of skills; from learning how to mix different tones, to making use of a palette knife. Students will also learn about different brushes and their applications, as well as some compositional pointers.One of my main goals with this course (and any of my courses) is to take the 'fear factor' out of art-making and to enable or empower people of all skill-levels to express themselves in an artistic way and hopefully for them to enjoy themselves in the process. Art shouldn't only be for those with "natural talent" or ability, but for everyone. We all have something inside that we need to express and my hope is that this course will help you to do that in a way that will leave you feeling happy and like you have accomplished something by the end of it.
