My name is Charles 'Aquilius' Chettiar. I have more than 18 years of experience working in engineering process plants. In addition to my experience in engineering, I have ISA's certification of Certified Automation Professional and a Project Management Professional certification. I started in construction with a hard hat on my head. First, when I started, I took any opportunity available to me to get into the field of building plants, for the moment I stepped into a process plant complex for the first time, I knew I wanted to do this. I made my move to engineering and this course is the culmination of my passion, knowledge, and experience. I hope that you learn and enjoy this course. We have put a lot of effort to build the course so that it is engageable and provides value for your buck. We also have spent a lot of time and resources to make the downloadable files, so that your learning becomes easy and as engaging as possible. What will you learn? You will learn everything you need to go and face that interview! We have built this course because freshers have come to us asking us to guide them in answering interview questions. If you follow along with the course and do the exercises shown in the videos, you will be more than ready to get a jump start in engineering. It's only about cracking that interview. And the only way you can crack that interview, is when you answer the first 3 questions ‘like an engineer', and then the tone of the interview is set, and you can cruise along and grab that offer!Who this course is for? This course covers concepts from "what is a process plant", making engineering deliverables and to the final stage of engineering which is commissioning. This course is primarily directed at newbies, beginners but people who do have an intermediate knowledge of engineering can also benefit and take this course as a refresher. What this course is about? This course is built to give you a foundation of engineering, in the trenches, how do engineers do engineering. It will give you all the necessary concepts to start thinking like an engineer, and it has the necessary exercise files to get your hands dirty and seasoned to go face that interview!Contents of the course:Section I: SENSES OF THE PLANT1.0 What is Instrumentation & Control2.0 Scenario-the need for building a process plant3.0 Learn about a process plant4.0 Learn what is a factory5.0 Learn the role of the I & C engineer6.0 Learn about controlling a process7.0 Learn about the basic process of making water8.0 Learn about process Instruments9.0 Learn about the control System10.0 Learn about TelemetrySection II: BRAIN OF THE PLANT1.0 Learn about types of control systems2.0 Learn about programmable Logic Controller3.0 Learn about distributed Control System4.0 Learn about Programmable Automation Controller5.0 Learn about Detail Engineering6.0 Learn about Documents required for detailed engineering7.0 Learn about Documents that we can start on8.0 Learn about Documents that we can do mid-project9.0 Learn about Documents at the end of the projectSection III: DETAILED DESIGN ENGINEERING1.0 Is Engineering equal to documentation?2.0 Learn about P & ID3.0 Learn what is in P & ID4.0 Learn about PFD5.0 Learn what is in PFD6.0 Learn about Plot Plan7.0 Learn what is in Plot Plan8.0 Learn about Instrument Index9.0 Learn what is in Instrument Index10.0 Learn about Input Output list11.0 Learn about Specifications12.0 Learn about Datasheets of Instruments13.0 Learn what is in Datasheets of Instruments14.0 Learn about the Cable schedule15.0 Learn what is in the Cable schedule16.0 Learn about Instrument Location Layout17.0 Learn what is in Instrument Location Layout18.0 Learn about the Junction Box layout19.0 Learn what is in the junction Box layout20.0 Learn about Cause & Effect21.0 Learn what is in Cause & Effect22.0 Learn about Control Narrative23.0 Learn about Control System DesignSection IV: COMMISSIONING1.0 Learn about Commissioning2.0 Learn about Activities involved in commissioning3.0 Learn about Continuity check4.0 Learn about Loop check5.0 Learn about Logic checkSection V: HANDS-ON PRACTICE1.0 Hands-on practice making Instrument Index2.0 Hands-on practice making Input-Output list3.0 Hands-on practice making Instrument Cable Schedule4.0 Hands-on practice making Instrument Datasheets5.0 Hands-on practice making Instrument Location Layout6.0 Hands-on practice making Junction Box layout7.0 Hands-on practice making Cause & Effect
