In this course all the classes are structured as a short regular class, with warm up, stretching and the new technique. In particular this course will be focusing on the shaolin stick technique, how to swing it, rotate it and the jibengun. This will prepare you for further teaching. So get ready to go back on training.This class is part of the level 3 program, as it is one of the choices for the test. The stick is called the Granparent of the weapon and it is the basic to learn the rest of the traditional weapons. This is also the first weapon the Shaolin Monks start to train with, that is why is the first and most studied weapon in the program.According to the Shaolin tradition, in each style practiced you first learn boxing (Quan), and then weapons, and the order of learning is as follows: the stick (gun), the saber (Dao), the sword (Jian), the spear (Qiang) and finally the halberd (Da-dao).
