This course is intended for total beginners. You do NOT need to be able to read music BEFORE taking this course. You will learn everything you need to know WHILE taking this course. In this course, you will be learning how to play piano by number, as well as by notes. You WILL learn to read music; however, the main focus of this course is intended to teach you to play piano the way professional studio musicians play, which is by using the "Nashville Numbering System". You will also learn music theory concepts as well as some advanced techniques for playing chord inversions and variations.Topics covered in this course include the Nashville Numbering System, how to build music chords using semitones, how to build chord progressions using the numbering system, the different construction of major chords vs minor chords, how to build chords using the standard triad format as well a chord inversion 1 and chord inversion 2 formats, as well as how to implement chord variations to create different versions of each chord. You will learn every key and how to determine the notes for every major and minor chord in every musical key on the keyboard. Reading music, understanding musical timing, understanding the circle of fifths as well as understanding the key signature notations are all covered in this course.
