This course is designed for students to learn beginner to intermediate level Japanese grammar. No prior Japanese knowledge is needed in order to attend as everything will be broken down in the simplest form. It is recommended that you are familiar with hiragana and katakana before beginning this course, but it is possible to learn without knowing it right off. In this course, you will learn how to break down and build Japanese sentence structures. The goal of this course is focused on learning how the sentences work in order to take the next step towards writing and speaking Japanese effectively. Our focus will be on how to use and where to place many of the basic, commonly used words and particles found in Japanese. These lessons are equivalent to what you will learn in beginning to intermediate level college courses, except a lot simpler and slower paced. As a bonus, there is also a small amount of vocabulary and kanji that will be taught at the end of each lesson.It is also recommended, though not at all required, that you take note of the vocabulary at the end of each lesson. This knowledge will help in reading and understanding examples, but I will explain the grammar in simple enough terms to where it can be understood even without knowing any vocabulary at all. Apart from the vocabulary lesson at the end, I will also put a brief vocabulary review in some lessons for the sake of reading examples in case anybody wanted to try their hand at reading without using notes. The words in the examples will usually be words we already learned in an earlier lesson. The kanji portion is also entirely optional and, unlike the vocabulary, it will be used very little, if at all, in later lessons.
