Design of the different elements of Irrigation structures. Hydraulic Design of Irrigation structures. Structural Design of Irrigation structures. The entire course is made up of two parts. This is part 1 of the entire course. It covers some of the major structures built on Water Streams in order to control the water flow from the upstream of the Canal/ river or any other stream. It covers the Hydraulic and Structural or Floor design of the added control structure. It includes Locks, Weirs and Regulators. Part 2 of this Course; however, covers Dams. This entire course is usually taught at the third or final year of a Civil Engineering curriculum. As such, you have to have a good knowledge of the basics of Civil Engineering like Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics. As soon as I have time to teach the second part, I will do that. The course is mainly composed of several chapters including a variety of lecture videos and supporting documents.
