The study was conducted within the framework of the motivation to understand Middle Eastern politics. Recent developments in the region have made it necessary to understand Saudi Arabian politics. The aim was to provide basic knowledge on the political history and institutions of Saudi Arabia, one of the most important countries in the Middle East, upon completion of the prepared training. Our course consists of a total of seven lessons. In our first lesson, we focused on how the foundations of the Saudi Arabian State were laid. In this context, the collapse of the Ottoman Empire and the cornerstones on the road to Saudi Arabia's independence were examined. In addition, the functioning of Saudi Arabia's legislative, executive, and judicial bodies was introduced. In our second lesson, the military and intelligence structure of Saudi Arabia was examined. In this context, the country's land, air, and naval forces and royal guards were discussed. In our subsequent lesson, the concept of a rentier state was emphasized and the characteristics of Saudi Arabia's rentier state were emphasized. In the next lesson, the importance of oil in foreign policy was mentioned, and the Saudi Aramco company was mentioned. In our fifth lesson, the philosophy of the establishment of the Saudi Arabian state, Wahhabism, was discussed. In the sixth lesson, the Vision 2030 strategy, which forms the basis of Saudi Arabia's policies, and the NEOM city it plans to establish within the framework of this strategy were discussed. In the seventh and final lesson, the concept of Sportwashing was discussed, and Saudi Arabia's sportwashing activities were examined.
