A simple course on Cell Biology and Genetics. This course can be considered as a startup for UG students and/or aspiring lab technicians.I guess this course will be useful early in your career as a biologist. I hope through this course I have sustained your interest in becoming a successful career biologist. We start the course with a description of Prokaryotic cells.Given in this course is also a description of Eukaryotic Cell ultrastructure.A simple description of the organelles observed in Eukaryotic cells is also given here.Comparison of Animal and Plant cells is also done, and the major differences explained. A brief description of fungal cells is also given in this course.Description of the Cell Surface Membrane and the various proposed models is given in the course videos.All the major organelles observed in the Eukaryotic Cells have been discussed in significant detail in the appropriate videos.I have also given some elementary non-mendelian genetics.This involves a brief description of chromosomes, and their abnormalities observed.The Chromosomal abnormalities are divided into structural and numerical abnormalities. Where possible specific examples are provided.All explanations are done using appropriate figures.However, at places, specific images, figures, and illustrations are not available. In such cases, specific examples are provided.
