The search for solid minerals is a global phenomenon, and many researchers have used different approaches and techniques at various locations to achieve their aims. Integrating results from multiple variables in mineral exploration can not be overlooked. The spatial forecast of mineral resources is crucial to effective exploration and resource management. Predictions can be made using a range of factors that affect the presence of minerals in a geologic settingTherefore, determining the potential for mineralisation is a geospatial problem that can be solved using a variety of factors favourable for mineralisation. Mapping mineralisation potential is frontier work commonly completed during exploration projects to concentrate following exploration efforts on areas that show promise and where spending time and resources will provide the most exceptional results.Critical models such as the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) in the framework of multicriteria decision analysis are appropriate instruments for mineral potential investigation in a frontier geologic setting. This research aims to map the mineral potential of parts of the northern Nigerian in an unbiased and reliable manner, taking AHP into account.The study intends to lower systematic ambiguities and improve understanding of the underlying geological control of mineralisation by contrasting and evaluating the significance of each exploration criterion.
