Indian Music Therapy (Essentials) - Certification Course is my first online course and a humble effort to bring out the practicability of an age old traditional, integrated and scientific practice in a systematic manner in the curriculum with theory and practice; then link it to the modern scientific researches with objective analysis. Thus, the Indian Music Therapy (Essentials) - Certification Course aims at discussing the essentials of applying Traditional Indian Musical Knowledge as Therapeutic Measure to improve symptoms and conditions associated with children having special needs, adults, elderly, professionals and others. Music Therapy is one of the emerging fields in India today. People are growing from awareness towards acceptability of this genre of therapeutic practice. This is the time to learn the therapeutic influence of our scientific music system blended with techniques, modern science and implementable knowledge; and implement that for all who need it. The course discusses scientific basis of Indian music therapy; points of convergence of Indian traditional science and modern science; the initial evaluation process, framework of working with therapeutic process (from context of Indian Music Therapy intervention), research, design, administration, observation and outcome of Indian Music Therapy in non-hospital/ non clinical setup. It further offers a few case studies (completed and on-going) and research papers.
