This course is created for those who love expressive, loose brush strokes, for those who enjoy working with palette knives and for those who are fearless in pursuing new tricks and tips. Not all of us have the chance (or strength) to go out and about into the wilderness for a quick hike, but we can always act like we do and paint it instead! Using mountains as an excuse to paint exciting landscapes, you will create three paintings: a waterfall, a mountain river and a canyon. The choice of your medium will be up to you to decide (either oils or acrylics). Each study will be complemented with an easy to follow, step-by-step instructional video. Fundamentals covered will include: establishing strong composition, working wet-in-wet, comprehension of the light distribution, impasto technique application, and effective use of local & arbitrary colours. You will acquire a solid set of skills to provide yourself with the confidence needed to paint independently. This course is suitable for all ages and experience levels. The possibilities are endless. Give your space a new vamp with these art pieces, or even surprise your relatives with your new talent! Maybe you can even let them know how long you had to hike for that view (don't worry, we won't tell them where you really got the picture from).
