In this course, we will be creating a fun lady sculpture, inspired by the iconic Niki de Saint Phalle nana sculptures. Niki de Saint Phalle was a French sculptor and painter known for her colourful and whimsical sculptures of women. Her Nanas, in particular, are playful and joyful representations of the female form. You will learn how to make a sculpture modelled in papier mache (paper strips and paper clay). Papier mache is a versatile and affordable medium, as well as being eco-friendly.
