The HAZWOPER 8-Hour Annual Refresher course meets OSHA's requirement under 29 CFR 1910.120 for workers involved in hazardous waste operations and emergency response. This training is required each year to ensure workers maintain safety awareness and stay compliant with federal regulations.In this course, students will review key topics essential to safe work in hazardous environments. Areas covered include hazard recognition, personal protective equipment (PPE), chemical and physical hazard controls, decontamination procedures, and emergency response planning. Additional focus is given to communication protocols, the Incident Command System (ICS), evacuation procedures, and post-incident reporting.Designed for general site workers, emergency responders, and supervisors who have already completed the initial HAZWOPER training, this refresher provides a practical and comprehensive review to reinforce safety responsibilities and update knowledge on regulatory changes.Participants will also revisit proper PPE selection and use, learn how to respond to chemical spills and releases, and understand how to use monitoring equipment and interpret exposure data.
