WHY IS THIS COURSE IMPORTANT?Medical imaging systems form an important foundation for diagnosing and treating illnesses in the healthcare environment. These devices are producing an ever-increasing amount of image data which needs to be stored, transmitted and analyzed. Understanding the fundamentals of how these images are produced is critical to the successful design of the many network-based information systems and clouds that attach to these devices.WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THIS COURSE?In this course you will learn the fundamentals of Xray production. You will get to see an actual Xray tube and examine its various parts. You will also learn about the dangers of xrays and how to protect ourselves when around radiation sources.
