His accolades include a team gold medal representing the Unified team in 1992 and a gold medal on the parallel bars and a bronze in the team event while representing Ukraine in 1996. Sharipov's competitive journey also encompassed numerous International and World Championships. Following his retirement from competitive gymnastics in 2000, he relocated to the United States, embarking on an illustrious coaching career. He has made significant contributions to successful programs, including the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy in Norman, OK (2000-01), the Houston Gymnastics Academy in Houston, TX (2001-05), an Assistant Coach role at the University of Oklahoma in Norman from 2005-2011, and his current position as the Head Coach at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH since 2011, solidifying his lasting impact on the world of gymnastics.
