Las Vegas, NV based guitarist, composer, arranger and educator Eugene Shapiro is relying on his over 30-year career in music to bring you this Guitar Songwriting class.Eugene has Master's degree in Music and has been teaching guitar and songwriting on every possible level, from college to recreational centers, music stores and private lessons, master classes and educational outreach.In this 30-lesson class, Eugene Shapiro combines guitar and songwriting, creating an exciting Guitar Songwriting course!Who is the class for: anyone who wants to learn how to play the guitar and use it to write songs. No prior experience is required. On the other hand, the class is also perfect for anyone who already knows some basics of the guitar playing and maybe even done some songwriting but is looking to improve their skills. No music reading or music theory/fundamentals is required.Level: Beginning/IntermediateHow does it work:1. In the first part of the course, the students will learn the 14 basic guitar chords. These are the most common chords used in most styles of Pop music. Knowing these 14 chords will literally allow you to play and write hundreds, if not thousands of different songs;2. In the second part of the course, basic songwriting chord formulas will be introduced (in two major and two minor keys) that will allow you to start writing songs using these chord progressions.What do I need for the class: just your guitar! I do also recommend getting a guitar tuner and a metronome and these can be downloaded for free on your smartphone from an app store.What's provided: 30 video lessons, downloadable pdf files, two bonus audio tracks.How long do I need to practice: no more than 20-30 minutes a day.
