Gouache is a very versatile medium but one that is often overlooked by many. Gouache mimics the properties of both watercolor and acrylic and it's super fun to work with them. In this class, I'll be taking you through my process of painting an easy floral bouquet using gouache. You'll learn everything you need to know about gouache to get you started. Gouache is mainly know for it's opaqueness and classy matte finish. This class is loaded with information on how to get the right consistency so that your painting has that nice opaque and matte finish to it. You'll also learn to use your gouache in watercolor consistency to create beautiful textural backgrounds for your painting.For the florals, you'll use the paint brushes to your advantage and create unique brush strokes for each floral elements. You'll use a very limited color palette for this class, so you don't have to worry too much about color mixing. For the project, you'll be painting a beautiful floral bouquet using the gouache techniques.
