Course is for wide range of readers. It contains more or less complete information for academic level and amateurs. In this course information about Qvevri wine from ancient times to today. Sampling premium Georgian wines and familiarizing themselves with the traditional winemaking technologies, alongside the unique, eclectic and diverse landscapes, is the priority of all tourists arriving in Georgia. Such an increasing interest is due to the recent scientific evidence saying that Georgia is homeland of wine as the world's oldest wine dating to 8000 BC is found in Georgia. Moreover, the ancient Georgian traditional Qvevri wine-making method is now recognized by UNESCO as a significant intangible cultural heritage. However, there is a lack of information and awareness-raising videos on the Internet that would offer tourists and any other interested person illuminating insights into the gustatory and therapeutic merits of Georgian wine. There is no reliable source specifying which grape variety and which type of technology is involved in the wine, which they should taste on arrival in Georgia, to ensure that they make a right choice and are not misled about our country and its products. We'd also like to make this information useful for potential investors, who are interested in cellar wine production and to show them the real prospects in this area.
