Thank you for checking in Fundamental Chemistry Part I - the Periodic Table. Who should take this course? This course is good for those who want to learn the key concepts in the Periodic Table and element(s)' properties based on certain trends down the group(s) as well as across the period(s). Thereafter, by applying those concepts, you should be able to conduct analysis and predict the behaviour of the element(s) towards the other ones and in chemical reactions. Please be advised that this course will not make you an expert in chemistry, but it helps you to get a better sense of the way certain matters in chemistry (i.e., chemical reactions) happen. Why can Chemistry be challenging? Many people chemistry difficult, and with good reasons. Chemistry is difficult if one does not have in-depth understanding of the basics. Chemistry is a multi-disciplinary subject in which integrating the basics, terminology, mathematics, and visualization required to make sense out of it. In light of this, the Periodic Table has been considered as the building block of the subject which knowing it can make huge difference in your chemistry world. So, how can you learn this course effectively?I suggest you doing the following:While watching videos, you should take notes if needed.Try to do the practice questions on your own and if there should there be any questions, you can leave a message in 'Q & A' part and I will try my best to reply as soon as I can.When working on the practice questions, remember using the guidelines - provided as summary at the end of each part.After completing the Exercises, watch the next video for the answers.
