Exploring Global Festivals and Celebrations is an exciting and interactive course designed for Year 4 students to develop their understanding of the world's many cultures through the lens of celebrations and traditions. Throughout the course, students will travel virtually across continents to discover how people come together to mark important events in unique and meaningful ways.Students will explore how festivals reflect the values, beliefs, and histories of different communities. From the bright lights of Diwali to the vibrant parades of Carnival, from the traditions of Lunar New Year to the stories behind Greek Easter, students will learn how music, dance, food, clothing, and symbols are used to express cultural identity. They will be encouraged to compare and contrast global festivals, discovering both the differences and the similarities that connect us all.The course includes a wide range of engaging activities such as storytelling, craft-making, music exploration, group projects, and class discussions.
