This course is the training course for new elders in the Tree of Life Family. Completion of this course does not guarantee appointment as an elder, but is essential for all elders to complete. Please watch all three videos, complete all four tests and do all five assignments and read all six PDFs. This course is not to be taken lightly or superficially, it outlines how we run our churches and what we expect from our elders. Being an elder in the Tree of Life Family is a true honour and we will enable you to be making disciples and raising people up as disciples and leaders. You will be an integral part of our dream and our focus as a family of churches.This course covers the structure of Tree of Life Family, their culture, why they value small groups and the character requirements essential for an elder and the role and expectations of our elders. It covers the essential information any Christian must know before becoming an elder in the Tree of Life Family, including character requirements based on 1 TImothy 3.1-7, and our dream to ensure that you can work with us and handle receiving instructions from us.The course has a number of quizzes and short assignments to ensure that you have processed the information fully and that you are capable and willing of being an elder in the Tree of Life Family. This course is for Christians who are both born again and Spirit-filled. It is specifically used for training elders in the Tree of Life Family, but other Christians may benefit from the information especially the Biblical information regarding small groups and the outline of character expectations of elders from the letter to Timothy.
