Techniques for breaking bad habits, ideas for gaining a trusting relationship with your horse. To break a horse is to gain its trust, not break its spirit. Explore the way horses think. Left Brain Right Brain. Certain smells and sounds your horse is fine with and what sets off sudden undesirable movements. Language of posture, gesture and sound. How to recognize: A happy, frightened, angry, bored, grieving, frustrated, horse in pain, playful, proud, and competitive horse. How to reassure the frightened, calm the angry, comfort the grieving and divert the bored.
