This lemonade stand grows from a one stand, one summer experiment all the way to a multinational powerhouse in the beverage and apparel space. This lab explores what I'll call a "traditional" model where we have fairly clear revenue, associated costs and then profit. This lab is easier to comprehend than the SaaSy, Inc. lab which we'll introduce next. If you are VERY new to finance, this is the one to start with and its also why we listed it first.SaaSy, Inc - SaaSy, Inc is all about subscriptions models. These types of business models have become VERY popular not just with software but with everything because recurring revenue is the best kind of revenue. Although we'll use software for this particular financial modeling exercise, you can use this lab to conceptualize ANY business that will use a recurring revenue model, more commonly called a subscription model. SaaSy, Inc is a software company that is looking to help people simplify how they stand up eCommerce websites. Similar to the Lemonade, Inc. lab, we'll start small and build all the way to a full five year financial model. And, we'll hit as many fun topics along the way.
